Abstract:Objective To explore the association between the uric acid/albumin ratio(UAR)and the recurrence of atrial fibrillation following transcatheter cardiac radiofrequency ablation. Methods A total of 232 patients with atrial fibrillation who underwent radiofrequency catheter ablation for the first time from January 2022 to December 2022 in Weifang People's Hospital were included. The patients were followed up for 12 months and divided into the recurrence group and normal group according to the presence or absence of recurrence. The clinical and laboratory characteristics of the two groups were compared. The predictive factors of recurrence were evaluated by logistic regression analysis. The predictive value of UAR for the recurrence was analyzed by the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC).Results Recurrence of atrial fibrillation occurred in 54 patients(23.0%)after the catheter ablation. The mean UAR of the recurrent group(1.57±0.39)was higher than that of the normal group(1.34±0.35).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that left atrial diameter(OR=3.649,95%CI 1.041-1.225,P<0.01)and UAR(OR=1.129,95%CI 1.392-9.566,P<0.01)were the independent predictors of recurrence. In the ROC analysis, the area under the AUC of UAR in predicting the recurrence of atrial fibrillation after the radiofrequency ablation was 0.663(95%CI 0.58-0.74),the sensitivity was 75.9%,and the specificity was 51.1%.Conclusion The recurrence of atrial fibrillation after radiofrequency ablation is independently correlated with UAR.
