Research progress in percutaneous coronary interventional treatment for patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus

Abstract：The patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus are a growing population.The patients often have complex coronary artery disease and poor prognosis of percutaneous coronary intervention.Therefore,the improvement and selection of interventional devices are particularly important for th patients.With the development of interventional therapy and the implementation of the related research,the clinical application of a new generation of drug-eluting stents,bioabsorbable scaffold,and drug coated balloons may provide more benefits for the patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.This paper summarizes the recent researchs on interventional treatment of the patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus in order to provide reference for clinical practice.
