Abstract:Renin-angiotensin system(RAS)is one of the important humoral regulatory systems of human body, which plays an important role in maintaining the stability of blood pressure and water and electrolyte balance. In recent years, the new branches of the RAS system have been discovered.Angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)and angio-tensin(1-7)[Ang(l-7)]are the key protective factors of the cardiovascular system, then the ACE2-Ang(1-7)-MasR axis has become a research hotspot in the field of cardio-vascular diseases. The non-classical RAS system ACE2-Ang(1-7)-MasR axis can antagonize the physiological effects of the classical ACE-Ang Ⅱ-AT1R axis, which to-gether maintain the balance of the body. This axis may become a new therapeutic target in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, arrhythmia and heart failure.
