Abstract:Cardiac remodeling is the main pathophysiological basis of various cardiovascular diseases.lt encompasses genomic expression, molecular, cellular, and mesenchymal changes caused by heart injury that lead to changes in heart shape and function, and is also an important cause of heart failure.Recent research shows that sodium glucose cotransporter 2(SGLT2)inhibitors have dramatic cardiovascular benefits, and prevention and reversal of adverse cardiac remodeling may be one of them. Therefore, this article reviews the mechanism of SGLT2 inhibitors improving cardiac remodeling, related clinical trials, adverse reactions, limitations and future development,in order to provide theoretical basis and clinical guidance for the prevention or treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
