Abstract:Left atrial aural thrombosis is an important cause of ischemic stroke in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation(NVAF).Even with oral anticoagulant therapy,residual cardiovascular risk is high in patients with the atrial fibrillation.Therefore,the intervention of left atrial appendage has become the focus of attention for stroke prevention in patients with NVAF.This articlel reviews the structural characteristics and the function of the left atrial appendage and the relevant targeted interventions for stroke prevention in patients with NVAF.
