Research progress of nanoparticles in treatment of ischemic heart disease

Abstract：As a prevalent heart illness,ischemic heart disease(IHD)poses a severe danger to human health due to its high mortality and disability rates.However existing therapy options of oral medicines and surgery fall well short of clinical demands.As a revolutionary therapeutic technology,nanoparticles actively or passively target cells and molecules in the cardiac area by modifying or loading with drugs to improve therapeutic efficacy by boosting drug aggregation,bioavailability and half-life at specific places.This article reviews the literatures and associated achievements in the treatment of IHD with nanoparticles.
