Recent developments in transcatheter mitral valve edge-to-edge repair

Abstract：Mitral regurgitation(MR)is one of the most common valvular heart diseases and mitral valve repair is the most common surgical treatment for MR.Among them,mitral valve transcatheter edge-to-edge repair(TEER)is an important treatment method for MR in the surgical high-risk patients.With the progress of research and technology,some new developments have been made in the indications,contraindications and surgical instruments of TEER surgery.This article mainly reviews the operative principle,indications,contraindications,surgical instruments development and prognostic factors of TEER.
