Abstract:Objective To investigate the predictive value of prothrombin time(PT)for death in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)after percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Method A total of 1209 CHD patients who underwent PCI in the People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2015 to December 2019 were retrospectively enrolled.Excluding patients with incomplete baseline information and lost follow-up,1152 patients were included. The endpoint was biological death, with a mean follow-up of(29.7±17.0)months.According to the median PT,the patients were divided into two groups:the low group(PT<12.4,n=574)and high group(PT≥12.4,n=578).Multivariate Cox proportional hazard model was used to evaluate the predictive value of PT for outcome during follow-up,and Kaplan-Meier method was used for survival analysis.Result There were significant differences in age, history of diabetes, globulin, platelet, neutrophil, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, white blood cell and aspartate aminotransferase between the two groups(P<0.05).The mortality rate in the high PT group was significantly higher than that in the low PT group(P=0.010).In the multivariate Cox proportional risk model,PT was an independent predictor of death events[adjusted HR was 1.058(1.001-1.118),P=0.046].Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)showed that the area under the curve of PT was 0.639.Kaplan-Meiercurve analysis showed that the survival between the two groups was statistically significant(log-rank,P<0.05).Conclusion PT is independently associated with the death and may be used as an independent predictor of poor prognosis in patients with CHD after PCI.
