The application value of drug-coated balloon in branch opening lesion during PCI
Abstract：Objective To investigate the short-term and long-term effects of drug-coated balloon in the treatment of coronary artery branches and openings in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods From August 2016 to August 2017,36 patients with coronary artery branch and opening lesions in our department of cardiology were selected as study subjects,and the subjects were randomly divided into observation group and control group.The control group 18 patients were treated with drug-coated balloon angioplasty.18 patients in the observation group were treated by cutting balloon angioplasty.The immediate curative effect and the effect after 6 months of follow-up were compared between the two groups.Results Thirty-six patients were involved in coronary angiography after 6 months.The follow-up rate was 100％.During the follow-up,two patients in the control group had recurrent MI;one patient in the control group had non-treatment-induced vascular stenosis and had PCI again.There was no significant difference in the diameters of branches between (2.98±0.15)mm and 6 months (3.14±0.44)mm after operation in the observation group(P=0.21).The diameters of branches in the control group (2.73±0.63)mm were narrower than those immediately after operation (3.01±0.11)mm Significance of learning (P=0.04).Conclusion The drug-coated balloon is a safe and effective treatment for the opening of coronary artery branches.It is worth popularizing widely in clinic.
