Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of different strategies for percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) in elder patients(>80 years) with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods 202 patients with ACS from January 2012 to May 2016 who were confirmed by coronary angiography with multi-vessel disease and underwent PCI were retrospective analyzed.106 cases only underwent revascularization for the culprit vessels were performed (Group A),completely revascularization was in 96 cases of (Group B).The clinical features of the two groups, contrast agent nephropathy status and length of stay,MACE (including recurrence of angina pectoris, revascularization and all-cause death) were statistically compared at 1-year follow-up.Results The incidence of contrast agent nephropathy in group B was 11.5%(11/96).There was no significant difference between group B and group A (16.0%,17/106)(P=0.146).The incidence of MACE in group B was 10.4% (10/96),which was significantly lower than that of group A (39.6%,42/106).The recurrence rate of central colic was also lower than that of group A [3.1%(3/96) vs 19.8%(21/106)],the difference was statistically significant (P=0.023,0.040).Conclusion Therapeutic strategies of complete revascularization of PCI for multivessel ACS patients with multivessel disease are safe and effective.
