Correlation analysis of serum uric acid level and cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure

Abstract：Objective To study the correlation between serum uric acid level and cardiac function in patients with chronic heart failure.Methods A total of 200 hospitalized patients with chronic heart failure in the Department of Cardiology of Aviation General Hospital from October 2012 to October 2014 were collected.180 hospitalized patients without heart failure were collected during the same period.Logistic regression was used to ana lyze the correlation between hyperuricemia and chronic heart failure.According to the level of uric acid,200 patients with heart failure were divided into normal uric acid group,mild hyperuricemia group and significant hyperuricemia group,and then the relationship between serum uric acid levels and cardiac function in patients with heart failure was analyzed.Results The average uric acid in patients with chronic heart failure was (488.23±13.56)μmol/L,and the average uric acid in the control group was (396.54±15.34)μmol/L.There was a significant difference between the two groups(P＜0.05).The OR of hyperuricemia and chronic heart failure was 2.244(P＜0.05).Among 200 patients with chronic heart failure,there was a significant difference in heart function grade,NT-proB-NP,6-minute walking distance,LVEF and LVEDV in normal uric acid group,mild hyperuricemia group and significant hyperuricemia group(P＜0.05).With the increase of uric acid level,the heart function index further deteriorated.Conclusion The incidence of hyperuricemia in patients with chronic heart failure is higher.Hyperuricemia may be a risk factor of chronic heart failure.The level of serum uric acid is higher,the cardiac function is worse.
