The evaluation of right ventricular function in obstructive sleep apnea syndrome patients without pul-monary hypertension by echocardiography
Abstract:Objective To explore the functional changes of right ventricular function in patients with moderate-severe obstructive sleep apnea and hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS)and provide reference for clinical diag-nosis and treatment. Methods From February 2015 to June 2017,62 cases of patients with moderate-severe OS-AHS been diagnosed by polysomnography in our hospital were selected as case group, and the same time 36 cases have a snoring but not been diagnosed were selected as control group. They all accepted the examination of conven-tional echocardiography and tissue doppler(TDI). The conventional parameters of cardiac ultrasound, mitral E peak deceleration time(EDT),ventricular area change scores in right ventricular(RV FAC),the systolic phase dis-placement of tricuspid valve(TAPSE),left ventricular myocardial strain and strain rate, the left and right ventric-ular Tei index(LVTei,RVTei)were compared between two groups. Results EDT was extended[(286.8±76)ms vs.(1253.8±60.5)ms,P<0.05]in case group,RV FAC(43.2±13.1,44.9±10.2)and TAPSE[(18.7±3.5)mm, (20.0±3.3)mm],RVTei(0.597±0.12,0.36±0.08)higher than the control group(P<0.05),and the tendency was positive correlation between age and RVTei(correlation coefficients: 0.521,P<0.05). Conclusion When moder-ate- severe OSAHS patients does not appear obviously increase pulmonary artery pressure, the left ventricular dias-tolic function and right ventricular function decreased, which was worth the clinical attention.
