Analysis of lactate dehydrogenase in very elderly hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation
Abstract:Objective To investigate the serum lactate dehydrogenase level in very elderly hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation and its clinical significance. Methods 140 very elderly patients with primary hy-pertension were enrolled in this study. Forty-two patients with AF were divided into AF group(n=42)and non -AF group(n=98). All of them were treated with lactate dehydrogenase and routine biochemical tests. Results The l evels of serum lactate dehydrogenase in the two groups were compared:atrial fibrillation group(191.83 ± 20.22)mmol/L higher than non-atrial fibrillation group(155.73±38.88)mmol/L,P=0.001;Spearman correlation analysis showed that very elderly hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation and Lactate dehydrogenase level was significantly correlated(r=0.560,P=0.000). Conclusion The serum lactate dehydrogenase in very elderly hyper-tensive patients with atrial fibrillation is higher,so it is important to speculate that it has important significance in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of very elderly hypertensive patients with atrial fibrillation.
