Effect of morning blood pressure on T-peak to T-end interval in patients with unstable angina
Abstract:Objective To investigate the influence of morning hypertension on T-peak to T-end interval(Tp-e interval) in patients with unstable angina. Methods Accordance to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, patients were examined by morning blood pressure, electrocardiogram, echocardiography and coronary angiography from October 2015 to April 2016.These patients were divided into two groups:the Morning Hypertension Group(n=170) and the Morning Normotensive Group(n=188).Basic demographics,Tp-e interval, corrected QT interval (QTc),echocardiography parameter and Gensini score of two groups were compared. Results In the Morning Hypertension Group, the Tp-e interval and QTc interval were longer than the Morning Normotensive Group[(82.94±26.12)ms vs (65.00±27.43)ms,P<0.01;(416.21±29.59)ms vs (401.70±36.10)ms,P<0.01].The left ventricular mass index significantly increased in morning hypertension patients compared with the normal [(118.49±11.18)g/m2 vs (106.45±10.42)g/m2,P<0.01].The Gensini score was higher in Morning Hypertension Group [(63.76±33.73)score vs (36.64±28.70)score,P<0.05].The morning systolic blood pressure was associated with Tp-e interval (r=0.449,P<0.01),as well as the morning diastolic blood pressure was correlated with Tp-e interval (r=0.235,P<0.01).In addition,Gensini score and left ventricular mass index were also associated with Tp-e interval(r=0.318,P<0.01;r=0.269,P<0.01).Conclusion The morning blood pressure has positive correlation with Tp-e interval and the degree of coronary artery stenosis.Control of morning hypertension in the early time can prevent the coronary heart disease.
