The efficacy and safety of the combination of Benazeprii and Aldosterone in the treatment of chronic heart congestive heart failure: a meta-analysis

Abstract：Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Benazepril and Aldosterone in the treatment of chronic heart congestive heart failure.Methods The databases of Pubmed,CNKI,VIP and CBD were retrieved for collecting the randomized controlled trials about the treatment of chronic heart failure with the combination of Benazepril and Aldosterone or Benazepril.Data was analyzed by RevMan 5.2 software.Results Ten studies were enrolled in this study.The meta analysis results showed that the combination of Benazepril and Aldosterone had a significantly higher efficacy than the Benazepril in term of the clinical efficacy (RR=1.23,95％CI 1.17-1.30,P＜0.01),improvement of LVEF(SMD=1.86,95％CI 0.85-2.88,P＜0.01),reduction of LVESD(SMD=-1.91,95％CI-2.34--1.15,P＜0.01) and LVEDD (SMD=-2.13,95％CI-2.57--1.69,P＜0.01).There was no difference in the adverse reactions between the two groups (RR=-0.74,95％CI 0.22-2.51,P=0.63).Conclusion The combination of Benazepril and Aldosterone has a higher efficacy than the Benazepril in the treatment of chronic heart failure.
