Clinical characteristics of elderly patients with chronic heart failure in different left ventricular ejection fraction

Abstract：Objective To investigate the plasma levels of B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP), blood uric acid (UA), red cell distribution width (RDW) and left atrial diameter (LA), left ventricular diastolic diameter (LVIDd), interventricular septal thickness (IVSd) in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) value. Methods Collection of 90 cases in the clinical data of elderly patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) in our hospital, divided into three groups according to the left ventricular ejection fraction, respec-tively left ventricular ejection fraction decreased heart failure (SHF, LVEF<40%) to left ventricular ejection frac-tion normal heart failure (DHF, LVEF≥50%) and left ventricular ejection fraction in mild abnormal heart failure (MHF, 40%≤LVEF<50%). Comparative analysis of the results of laboratory tests between the three differences. Results BNP [SHF group (2781.14 ±1662.51)pg/ml vs MHF group (1284.33 ±944.09)pg/ml vs DHF group (550.51±449.09)pg/ml, P<0.05];UA[SHF group(409.52±130.55)μmol/L vs MHF group(425.29±170.44)μmol/L vs DHF group(339.89±89.92)μmol/L, P<0.05]; RDW[SHF group(13.96±0.89)% vs MHF group(13.74±1.16)% vs DHF group(12.99±0.52)%, P<0.05]; LA[SHF group(43.00±6.99)mm vs MHF group(40.67±7.08)mm vs DHF group(33.89±7.19)mm, P<0.05]; LVIDd[SHF group(60.52±13.99)mm vs MHF group(56.56±10.69)mm vs DHF group (48.57±8.78)mm, P<0.05]; IVSd [SHF group (9.56±1.91)mm vs MHF group (10.48±1.87)mm vs DHF group (10.94±1.76)mm, P<0.05]. Conclusion BNP, UA, RDW, LA, LVIDd, IVSd and other laboratory indi-cators for the diagnosis and treatment of elderly patients with chronic heart failure can provide reference signifi-cance.
