Epidemiology and risk factors of cardiovascular disease in Chuxiong city
Abstract：Objective To explore the epidemiology of cardiovascular disease and related risk factors in Chuxiong City, and to provide scientific basis for comprehensive prevention and treatment. Methods A multi-stage sampling method was used to select 15 townships and 4 community health service centers in the area, and a random sampling of cardiovascular disease risk factors was carried out in 2397 people with aged over 18 years old. Results The prevalence rate of hypertension was 20.5%, the awareness rate of hypertension was 59.35%, the prevalence rate of coronary heart disease(CHD) was 1.9%, and the prevalence rate of stroke was about 0.3%. The smoking rate was 18.69%, including male and female residents smoking rates were 36.33% and 1.64%; 401 of the study population was overweight, overweight and obesity rate was 16.7%, 58 the obesity rate was 2.4%; impaired fasting glucose was 11.4%; the prevalence rate of diabetes was 17.8%. Conclusion The level of hypertension and traditional risk factors in the region is very prominent., adopt comprehensive prevention and control measures to ef-fectively control community.
