Under Video-assisted minimally invasive surgical treatment of lone atrial fibrillation
Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical preliminary experience under video-assisted minimally invasive surgical treatment of lone atrial fibrillation. Methods Between April 2014 to August 2016,9 patients with lone atrial fibrillation were assisted by video-assisted surgery, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in 6 cases,3 cases of permanent atrial fibrillation, through the bilateral fourth intercostals incision with Atricure bipolar radiofrequency ablation system, bilateral pulmonary vein isolation,Atricure single pole radiofrequency ablation was used to connect the bilateral pulmonary vein isolation line, left atrial appendage resection and Marshall ligament cut. Results No perioperative death,no third degree atrioventricular block,no major bleeding and other serious complications.Average length of stay(14.2±6.5)days,7 patients were converted to sinus rhythm, and 2 patients within 3-6 days. The average follow-up 12.6 months,1 cases of atrial fibrillation recurrence, and the remaining 8 cases were maintained sinus rhythm, the overall sinus rate was 89%.Conclusion The video-assisted minimally invasive surgical treat-ment of lone atrial fibrillation is safe and reliable,in the near and medium term effect is good.
