Correlation between different proton pump inhibitors and platelet inhibition rate in PCI patients

Abstract：Objective Effects of different proton pump inhibitors (PPI) on platelet inhibition rate in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).Methods The study included standard of inpatient 210 cases from Department of Cardiology in the 175th Hospital of PLA from January 2014 to April 2016,both need to line PCI surgical treatment of coronary heart disease patients.Venous blood samples were taken after loading Aspirin +Clopidogrel 24h orally,and then adenosine diphosphate (ADP)-induced platelet inhibition rate was calculated by thromboelastography TEG.The selected candidates are divided into three groups of 70 patients in each group were given Rabeprazole,Esomeprazole sodium and Pantoprazole sodium oral mucosal protection,prevention of gastrointestinal reaction.All the patients were followed up with aspirin plus Clopidogrel routine dose maintenance after double antiplatelet therapy.After 1 weeks,platelet inhibition rate was examined by the above methods..Results Rabeprazole,Esomeprazole,Pantoprazole group,the three groups of patients with dual antiplatelet therapy after 24 h and 7 d after the platelet inhibition rate was (64.7±16.5 vs 63.9±15.2,63.2±13.6 vs 62.1±14.5,62.5±15.3 vs 61.6±14.9).Different PPI groups of dual antiplatelet therapy after 24 h or 7 d after platelet inhibition rate showed no statistical difference(P＞0.05).The same group PPI dual antiplatelet therapy after 7 d than 24 h after the platelet inhibition rate decreased slightly,but showed no statistical difference (P＞0.05).There were 43 cases(20.5％) of Clopidogrel resistance,but there was no significant difference in Clopidogrel resistance between different PPI groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion No significant effect of antiplatelet effect,Rabeprazole with Esomeprazole and Pantoprazole on Clopidogrel,gastric mucosal protective agent can be used after PCI in patients with dual antiplatelet therapy.
