Nearly 66 cases of tricuspid valve replacement, interim analysis of clinical effect
Abstract:Objective To summarize the clinical experience of 66 cases of tricuspid valve replacement.Methods Retrospective analysis 66 cases with tricuspid valve replacement in our hospital during January 2010-December 2015 were analyzed.According to the classification of etiology:47 cases of rheumatic heart disease,rheumatic heart disease of tricuspid valve replacement again after 12 cases,congenital heart disease in 8 cases,infective endocarditis in 5 cases,valvular degeneration in 4 cases,chest trauma in 1 case and pacemaker surgery in 1 case.Of the 66 cases of tricuspid valve replacement,56 cases were bioprosthetic valve replacement,10 cases were mechanical valve replacement.Results Of the 66 patients,4 patients died during hospitalization,2 patients died of severe heart failure,1 patient died of cardiac arrhythmia,and 1 patient died of multiple organ failure.Two patients received permanent pacemaker implantation due to atrioventricular block.Patients were all followed up for 3 to 60 months while one patient died during the follow up.The overall mortality rate was 7.5%.As for postoperative NYHA classification,there were 12 cases in grade Ⅱ,37 cases in grade Ⅲ,and 17 cases in grade Ⅳ.Conclusion As the early mortality is relative high for tricuspid valve replacement,only serious patients should receive tricuspid valve replacement.The short-term outcome for tricuspid valve replacement surgery in our hospital is satisfied.However,the long-term outcome remains unclear.
