Abstract:Objective This study is intended to investigate and analyze the changes in vascular endothelial growth factor and its influential factors in patients with unstable angina pectoris. Methods Sixty patients diagnosed with unstable angina pectoris in our hospital during December 2014 to December 2015 were enrolled into the angina pectoris group, and another 35 patients who presented with chest pain but appeared normal in coronary angiography in the same period of time were enrolled into the control group.Artery stenosis was evaluated with the Gensini Score, and peripheral artery pressure was measured with reactive hyperaemia index (RHI).Serum biochemical indices were measured, and protein chips were utilized to assess the level of serum vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF),angiogenesis protein-1 (Ang-1),vascular formation protein-2 (Ang-2).Results The base line level of TG [(1.93±0.95)mmol/L vs (1.12±0.96)mmol/L,P<0.05] and Gensini score [(39.6±23.1) vs (9.4±1.5),P<0.05] were higher and the RHI level are lower in the angina pectoris group [(1.41±0.31) vs (1.84±0.63),P<0.05].The level of Ang-2[(3681.4±1789.1)pg/ml vs (2341.8±1135.5)pg/ml,P<0.05] and VEGF increased significantly [(321.7±203.4)pg/ml vs (172.9±104.1)pg/ml,P<0.05],while the difference in Ang-1 was insignificant(P>0.05).RHI,Gensini score and artery stenosis are closely related to serum VEGF level (P<0.05).Conclusion The level of VEGF in patients with unstable angina pectoris increase significantly, which is positively correlated with the degree of coronary artery stenosis and Gensini score, and negatively correlated with RHI.
