Abstract:In order to explore the effects of different decomposition agents on the fermentation and decomposition charac-teristics of garden waste composting and on cabbage growth,11 kinds of fungal agents were used in the composting of garden waste. The changes of pH,EC value, organic matter content,C/N ratio, fulvic acid and humic acid content during the composting process,as well as the germination index of cabbage seeds composted with different fungal agents were analyzed. The compost with a germination index greater than 80%was selected for pot cultivation of cabbage,in combina-tion with chemical fertilizer. The leaf area, biomass and rhizosphere microbial number of the cabbags were measured for different combinations. The results showed that, except for CK-SY and M1-3 treatments, the pH of other garden waste composting with different fungal agents generally increased first and then decreased, while the EC value of most treat-ments decreased initially and then increased during the composting process.Among them, the EC value of BF32-93+T2-55 was always maintained at a low level(2389-2767 μS·cm-1),and exibited the fastest and most thorough rotting. The composting of garden waste with BF32-93+T2-55 microbial agent and chemical fertilizer treatment could significantly increase the leaf area, dry mass, and fresh mass of potted cabbage by 233.33%,276.47%and 192.86%,respectively,compared to CK.At the same time, the single application of BF32-93+T2-55 microbial agent was beneficial in increasing the proportion of disease-resistant microorganisms in the rhizosphere soil.
