Abstract:In order to investigate the effects of different application amounts of bio-organic fertilizer on the growth, yield, quality and soil nutrients of continuous cropping melon,a pot experiment was conducted using the melon Chunlei 17 as the experimental material.Five bio-organic fertilizer dosages were studied:0(CK),1%(BIO1),2%(BIO2),3%(BIO3),and 4%(BIO4).The results showed that compared to CK,soil organic matter and available nutrient content increased gradually with the increase of the amount of bio-organic fertilizer.Leaf net photosynthetic rate and antioxidant enzyme activities first increased and then decreased with the increase of application amount, and BIO3 treatment had the best effect.Specifically, during the fruit expansion stage, net photosynthetic rate, stomatal conductance, transpiration rate, catalase(CAT)and superoxide dismutase(SOD)activities under BIO3 were significantly increased by 81.07%,52.09%,60.81%,23.51%andl7.45%,respectively.Compared with CK,the yield of BIO3 treatment was significantly increased by 9.18%.The content of central soluble solids in BIO3 treatment was the highest, which was 9.39%higher than that of CK.The content of malondialdehyde first decreased and then increased, with the highest content observed under B1O4 treat-ment.Principal component analysis was used to comprehensively evaluate melon yield, quality, soil fertility, leaf photo-synthetic index, and antioxidant enzyme activities. The comprehensive evaluation ranking was BIO3>BIO4>BIO2>BIO1>CK.In conclusion, proper application of bio-organic fertilizer can significantly improve soil fertility, plant resis-tance,yield and quality of melon, and 3%bio-organic fertilizer treatment(BIO3)has the best effect.
