Abstract:Analysis of pesticide residue levels in vegetables and melons from major production bases in Wuwei city from 2021 to 2023 was conducted to evaluate the dietary intake risks across different population groups. Using standard testing methods,45 types of pesticide residues were analyzed in 2028 collected samples, and chronic and acute dietary intake risks were assessed for detected pesticides. The results showed that 25 types of pesticides were detected among the 2028 samples, with detection rates ranging from 0.05% to 14.29%,and exceeding standard rates ranging from 0.05% to 0.55%. The detection rates of pesticides in different types of samples ranged from 5.17% to 73.08%,with chili peppers, grapes, and lettuce ranking being the main samples exceeding standards. The detection and exceeding rates of pesticides in solana-ceous and leafy vegetable samples were higher than those in other types. The chronic dietary risk value( HQc )for combinations such as"celery+phorate"and"pepper+phorate"exceeded 100%. Acute dietary risk values(Hqa)for five combinations, including"celery+phorate","romaine lettuce+lambda-cyhalothrin",and"common cabbage+procymidone",exceeded 100% across all 10 consumer groups. Other combinations had both acute and chronic dietary intake risks below 100% and were at relatively low levels. In summary, the overall quality and safety of vegetables and melons from produc-tion bases in Wuwei city were relatively good. However, there were cases of banned or restricted pesticides use, pesticide residue exceeding standards, and unacceptable dietary intake risks. Relevant departments need to strengthen the regula-tion of banned and restricted pesticides, enhance farmers'awareness of scientific pesticide use,and reduce the impact of pesticide residues on human health.
