Abstract:The excellent cucumber variety Guifei Rabbit Leg was used as the experimental material to study the effects of different exogenous MT concentrations on the phenotypic traits and physiological indicators of cucumber seedlings under high temperature stress,in order to screen for the appropriate MT concentration that can effectively alleviate high temperature stress in cucumber seedlings. The results showed that compared with the room temperature treatment, high temperature stress significantly inhibited the growth of seedlings. Cucumber seedlings treated with 100μmol·L-1 exogenous MT under high temperature stress had significantly higher leaf length, leaf width, and plant height than other treatments. High tem-perature stress significantly inhibited the physiological activities of seedlings. Exogenous MT treatment of 100μmol·L-1 significantly increased their superoxide dismutase(SOD),activity, peroxidase(POD)activity, soluble protein content, and root activity, while malondialdehyde(MDA)content showed a significant decrease. Comprehensive analysis showed that spraying exogenous MT solution with a concentration of 100μmol·L-1 under high temperature stress could significantly enhance the ability of cucumber seedlings to resist high temperature.
