Abstract:In order to clarify the best garlic production and alkaline soil improvement measures in Henan garlic region, four treatments were tested, including conventional fertilization(CK),conventional fertilization+calcium sulfate(T1),conventional fertilization+humic acid(T2),and conventional fertilization+calcium sulfate+humic acid(T3).The effects of different fertilization methods on garlic yield, leaf antioxidant capacity, soil enzyme activity, and soil structure, and their effects on garlic yield and alkaline soil improvement were studied. The results showed that,on the basis of conven-tional fertilization, the combination of calcium sulfate and humic acid application(T3)significantly increased the activi-ties of SOD,POD,and CAT in garlic leaves, enhanced soil enzyme activity, and promoted the formation of soil water stable aggregates with a diameter greater than 0.25 mm,with better effects than CK,T1 and T2.The garlic yield of T3 reached 15 620.95 kg·hm-2,an increase in yield of 11.97%compared to CK.In summary, the combination of calcium sulfate and humic acid has a good effect on improving garlic yield and soil quality in the garlic region of Henan province.
