Research progress on Fusarium wilt of bitter gourd

Abstract：Bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L.) is one of the most important crops in Jiangxi province,however,their yield and quality has been seriously limited by infection of Fusarium wilt.This soil-borne vascular disease is difficult to control.It can be resolved by treatment with chemical fungicide,but the use of this approach to treatment may also produce environmental pollution.The occurrence regulation,pathogenesis mechanism,identification technology in bitter gourd,control methods of this disease are reviewed,and the future research is also prospected,which will contribute to breeding fusarium wilt-resistant bitter gourd.
