Effect of rootstock Solanum torvum on growth performance and commodity of eggplant

Abstract：The experiment was carried out to study the effect of rootstock Solanum torvum on the growth performance of ‘Tianjiao’.The results showed that the plant growth,biomass accumulation,fruiting rate and fruit commodity were all improved by grafting.The yield increased by 8.6％ compared with that of the self-rooted.Grafting technology had wide application prospect in Sichuan eggplant production.
