Abstract:In order to improve the survival rate of grafted watermelon seedlings in early spring under low temperature and weak light, three major factors included period of cutting rootstock leaves, spraying period and times of photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) and mulching time were investigated in this research..The results showed tha cutting the rootstock leaf 1 day before grafting, spraying PSB at rootstock cotyledons extension stage and uncover mulch 5 days after grafting, which significantly improved survival rate (95.3%) and the growth of grafted watermelon seedlings, the growth rate of the overground part and roots were increased and the content of chlorophyll of grafted watermelon seedlings were also improved at the same time.
