Abstract:In order to discover the effect of different rootstock on silicon (Si) transport after Si absorption, the pumpkin rootstocks with blooming potential '277',non-blooming potential '488' and cucumber scion with blooming potential '1184' were used and the foliage of graft seedlings were sprayed with a series concentration of Na2SiO3.The results showed:(1)Foliage spaying of Na2SiO3 can induce Si content of shoot in different graft union significantly;(2) Grafting can rescue the inhibition of plant height and leave damage caused by excess silicon accumulation;(3)The Si uptake ability in graft seedling leaf with rootstocks'488' was weaker than that with '277' and own-rooted seedlings;(4)The leaf adjacent to the fruit and flesh can change into the Si sink in graft seedlings with rootstocks '488',thus depressed Si transport to the peel and the bloom content in the fruit surface accordingly.
