Review of in vitro gynogenesis of Cucurbitaceae plants

Abstract：In vitro gynogenesis is one of the most important approaches of haploid breeding.This review provides the latest research progress on in vitro gynogenesis of Cucurbitaceae plants,and makes a discussion and summary of the affecting factors,including genetic,the development stage and part of explant,medium and pre-treatment on embryoid induction,planting season and so on.It also points out the problems in this field and more efforts should be made for further development,and thus provide reference for in vitro gynogenesis in Cucurbitaceae.
