Abstract:In order to improve important agronomic traits of ‘ Jinmi No.6’ of melon, the F2 segregating population was constructed by hybridization of male and female parent materials of ‘Jinmi No.6’ and 496 individuals were obtained.A total of 14 agronomic traits such as primary skin color and flesh color were investigated. The results showed that the separation ratios of 4 agronomic traits including primary skin color, density of rind netting, flesh color and flesh texture were all about 3:1,indicating the single gene controlled qualitative trait.A total of 7 traits such as leaf length, leaf width and pedicel diameter were normally distributed, indicating the quantitative trait.Except for the content of marginal soluble solids and central soluble solids, the other 7 traits and fruit weight were significantly correlated. The regression analysis showed that flesh thickness had the biggest effects on the foruation of fruit weight and leaf length had a negative effect on the formation of fruit weight, which could provide theoretical basis for the high-yield breeding of melon.
