Investigation of fertilizer application and present situation on garlic in Qixian

Abstract：To evaluate the application of fertilizer in garlic production,7 towns sunch as Gao yang,Pei Cundian and Ge Gang in Qixian were investigated in 2014-2015.2-5 villages in each town,2-5 farmers in each village were selected randomly to study.The results showed that garlic yield ranged from 13.5 to 26.3 t · hm-2 with the average of 19.9 t· hm-2 in Qixian,nutrient inputs varied from 390.0 t· hm-2 to 1 432.5 t· hm-2;nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium were higher than the average amount of fertilizer recommendation 55.01％,98.49％,56.29％ respectively,PFP (Partial fertilizer productivity) of nitrogen,phosphorus and potassium fertilizers were 53.36 kg· kg-1,72.74 kg.kg-1,73.63 kg· kg-1,respectively.The synthetic fertilizer (N ∶ P ∶ K=18 ∶ 18 ∶ 18) accounted for a large proportion in the production of garlic.In conclusion,the local average yield was higher than that of national,however,the nutrient inputs was over used,while the organic fertilizer was less applied,there were large potential of saving chemical fertilizers for sustainable garlic production
