Resistance identification method of melon powdery mildew at seedling stage

Abstract：In order to explore an effective resistance identification method of melon powdery mildew at seedling stage,the inbred line ‘KR-89’ was used in this research,the inoculation methods (spray method,leaf brush method,mechanical inoculation method),inoculation stages (seedling with one leaf,two leaves and tree leaves) and inoculation concentrations (2× 104 per milliliter,2× 106 per milliliter,2× 108 per milliliter) were studied.The results showed that the best inoculation method was sprayed (the incidence was 96.66％),the most appropriate stage was the seedlings with two leaves stage (the incidence was 94.66％),and the optimum concentration was 2×106 per milliliter(the incidence was 96.00％).
