Breeding of a new hot pepper variety ‘ Qiangfeng 7318’

Abstract：‘Qiangfeng 7318’ is a 3-lined hot pepper hybrid bred by crossing two inbred lines,mid-early mature male-sterile line ‘2006-12A’ and early mature inbred line ‘2009-43 ’.The growth power is vigorous.It grows the first flower at stem note 9,light green young fruit and red ripe fruit with smooth skin,long-conical shaped,25-28 cm in length,1.8-2.2 cm in diameter,thick flesh,25 g per fruit and pungent in taste.Concentration and consistency of fruit setting ability is good.Average yield is about 2 500 kg per 667 m2,38.4％ higher than CK,and it is suitable for open-field cultivation in eastem and south-central of China and protected cultivation.
