Development of the ‘ Duotai No.2’ new varieties with high polypeptides

Abstract：‘Duotai No.2’ is a F1 hybrid of two inbred lines ‘G189-4’ and ‘G172’ with high polypeptides.It has strong growth potential,middle or lately maturity,with the first female flower sets at 13th-16th node.Commodities melon is cylindrical shaped with slightly bitter taste,green,flat fruit shoulder,sudden tumor.The fruit is 30 to 35 cm in length,7 cm in diameter and 1.1 cm in flesh thickness.It resists to powdery mildew and contents high polypeptides (0.956 mg·g-1).The single fruit weighs is 500 g,the average yield is 57 t· hm-2.It is suitable for cultivation in the open field in south China.
