A new melon cultivar ‘ Chunsheng’

Abstract：‘Chunsheng’ is a new F1 hybrid melon variety with good quality and high yield which is developed by crossing ‘MH06’ as female parent and ‘MH05’ as male parent.The plant grows vigorously.The growing period is about 108 days and fruit developing period is about 42 days.The fruit is oblong-shaped with yellow rind.The flesh is orange,crisp,and has good taste with 3.9 cm in peel thickness and center sugar content of 12.8％,side sugar content of 8.1％.Each fruit weight is about 2.32 kg and per 667 m2 yield is about 3 300 kg.It is suitable for early spring protected cultivation in Jiangsu province and surrounding areas.
