Comparative experiment of spinach varieties in early spring in Zhengzhou

Abstract：In order to screen out the suitable spinach cultivars for plastic greenhouses cultivation in early spring in Zhengzhou,11 spinach varieties (‘Kuailv ’,‘Shenglv ’,‘Sushengdaye ’,‘Sulvte ’‘Moyulv ’,‘Jinfuxinyidai ’,‘M7 ’,‘Moyukangrewang ’,‘Wangwangdayuanye ’,‘1403 ’,‘Yuyidafengshou ’) were used in this study, the morphological structures, physiological characteristics, resistance indexes, bolting tolerance and yield of these varieties were analyzed. The results showed thatthe plant heightof‘M7’was maximum, was 45.7 cm, 86.53%higher than‘Yuyidafengshou’. The ratio of leaf length and petiole length of‘Wangwangdayuanye ’was the biggest, 65.93% bigger than‘Yuyidafengshou ’.‘Sushengdaye ’had the highest 667 yield (1 880.9 kg), followed by‘M7 ’(1 680.8 kg) and‘Shenglv ’(1 600.8 kg). Therefore,‘M7’,‘Shenglv’,‘Sushengdaye’could be used as the main cultivars of spinach in greenhouse in early spring in Zhengzhou.
