Relationship between the incidence of Cucurbit chlorotic yellows virus disease and the dynamic populations of vector Bamisia tabaci

Abstract：In order to study the impact of the virus transmission vector Bamisia tabaci and the melon cultivars on the inci?dence of Cucurbit chlorotic yellows virus disease, the dynamic populations of Bamisia tabaci, the occurrence of the disease and the resistance of different melon cultivars were investigated. The results showed that the population of B. tabaci is a key fac?tor to affect the disease epidemiology. There were obvious resistance differences among melon cultivars. Therefore, the effec?tive reduction of B. tabaci is primitive step to control the disease in field.
