Influence of different rootstocks on growth, quality and yield of musk-melon

Abstract：In order to study the influence of different rootstocks on growth, quality and yield of muskmelon and screen suit?able grafting rootstock that could effectively reduce the negative effect of continuous cultivation and improve melon resistance and fruit quality,‘Qingyan No. 1’,‘Kehong No. 1’,‘Yinguang’,‘Jianjiang’,‘Jingxin No. 3’and‘Jingxin No. 2’were used in the test. The results indicated that the comprehensive performance of‘Yinguang’and‘Jianjiang’were better on growth vi?gour, quality, yield and disease resistance and they could be used as rootstocks for muskmelon. The soluble solid content and taste of‘Jingxin No. 3’were good, but the temperature and humidity management should be noted when it was applied.
