Breeding of a new Cucumis melo variety--‘Zhongtian No. 6’
Abstract：‘Zhongtian No. 6’is a variety of Cucumis melo developed by crossing‘B336’as female parent and‘B317’as male parent. It is suitable to cultivated in open fields in western China or in greenhouse in eastern China. The fruit growth period is about 37-40 days,the fruit is elliptical shape with white skin and white flesh. The central total soluble solid is about 14.0%to 16.5%and the flesh thick ness is over 4.0 cm. The average fruit weight is about 1.7-2.5 kg.
