Research advances of Melon necrotic spot virus

Abstract：Cucumis melo is one of the important Cucurbitaceae in the tropical and temperate regions and also a major eco?nomic crop in our country. Melon necrotic spot virus(MNSV)cause significant economic losses in melon. The taxonomic sta?tus,characteristics and distribution,analysis of genes and pathogenicity,virus cell-to-cell movement and influence factor of transmission and resistance of MNSV were reviewed. Although there were many researches on MNSV,but there are few re?ports on the virus pathogenic mechanism. Therefore,it is necessary to find the host factors related to the virus and reveal the pathogenicity mechanisms of MNSV.
