New Mid-large Watermelon Variety‘Jingza 20’with High Quality, Yield and Disease Resistance

Abstract：‘Jingza 20’is a new mid-large watermelon hybrid variety with female parent‘87005’and male parent‘2084’. The fruit matures 100-110 days from sowing and about 32 days from flowering. The fruit is globe shaped with green skin and dark green stripes. The flesh is uniform red,crispy,juicy and low frequency hollow and hard seed coats. The soluable soid contents is about 12%soluble in center and 8%-9%near rind. The rind is durable with about 1.0 cm thickness. The average fruit size is 5-8 kg,the yield on 667 m2 is usually 4000 kg. It is characterized with vigorous plant, good fruit set,high quality,high yield,and high resistance to Fusarium wilt.
