Research on the Correlation between Performance Evaluation and Financial Compensation Decision-Making in Tertiary Public Hospitals

Abstract:Objective:To explore the correlation between performance evaluation results of public hospitals and government financial compensation decisions,so as to provide empirical evidence and policy implementation references for improving performance-based public hospital financial compensation mechanism.Methods:The scenario questionnaire based on the Lens Model was prepared to prospectively test the relevance between the performance evaluation results of public hospitals and the decision-making of financial compensation.Results:There is a significant positive correlation between performance evaluation and financial compensation decisions in tertiary public hospitals,with differences in decision-making consistency among different stakeholders and varying sensitivities to performance evaluation results.Conclusion:Performance appraisal results of tertiary public hospitals play a guiding role in financial compensation decision-making,but there is no unified understanding of its application,which needs to be guaranteed by relevant systems.
