Analysis on Equity of General Practitioners Allocation in Guangxi Based on Concentration Index and Gini Coefficient
Abstract:Objective: To analyze the equity of general practitioners(GPs) allocation in Guangxi from 2013 to 2016, so as to provide references for optimizing resource allocation of general practitioners. Methods: Concentration index and Gini coefficient were used to analyze and discuss the allocation of general practitioners in Guangxi. Results: The number of general practitioners was short in Guangxi, while the equity of population distribution was better than geographical distribution. There were obvious gaps of regions. Conclusion: The government should strengthen the dominant function, gradually increase investment in the development of general practitioners,guide the general practitioners’ allocation to underdeveloped and remote areas and improve the equity of general practitioners’ allocation.
