Analysis on the Oral Antidiabetic Agents in Different Grades of Hospitals in Minhang District of Shanghai
Abstract:Objective:To analyze the characteristics of oral antidiabetic agents in different grades of hospitals in Minhang District of Shanghai so as to provide reference forrational clinical drug use.Methods:The indexes of oral antidiabetic agents,defined daily doses(DDDs) and daily cost(DDC) were analyzed statistically in 16 hospitals in Minhang District by retrospective analysis from December 2015 to November 2016.Results:The total amount of oral antidiabetic drugs purchased from December,2015 to November,2006was 67.5105 million yuan,among which 76.89% was from first grade hospitals.Acarbose was ranked the first in the first,second and third grade hospitals respectively.The first gradehospitals had five 5 drugs whose purchase amount from 3 to 8 million.Among them,glipizide controlled release tablets ranked second.The purchase amount of repaglinide ranked the second in the second and third grades hospitals.In the first grade hospitals,metformin had the highest DDDs(834.02million days).In terms of DDC,acarbose ranked the first in the first,second and third grades of hospitals.Saxagliptin ranked the second in the second and third grades hospitals.The drug consistency in the first,second and third grades hospitals was 28.13%.Conclusion:Medicines are dispensed to diabetic patients mainly in community.Doctors and patients tended to choose essential drugs with reasonable prices.The first and second grades of hospital used nearly the same drugs in terms of variety and dosage.
