Diabetes Mellitus Curative Care Expenditure Forecast Based on Component Model in China
Abstract：Objective:To present the forecast results of China diabetes mellitus(DM) curative care expenditure.Methods:Based on three scenarios of different policy effect of hierarchical medical system,it used component-based model to forecast DM curative ex penditure by 2020 in China.Results:The DM curative care expenditure in 2020 under scenario one was the least,amounting to 133.14 billion yuan,and curative care expenditure on DM were 140.43 billion yuan and 143.74 billion yuan respectively under scenario two and three.Outpatient care expenditure was the major part of DM curative expenditure,and treatment expenditure on DM mainly occurred in hospitals.Conclusion:Highly increasing DM prevalence would demand the fast rising of medical resources.Hierarchical medical service delivery system for non-communicable diseases would reduce DM curative expenditure directly.Prevention and control of DM should be prioritized,which had great economic significance to carry out early prevention and early treatment for DM.
