Discussion on the Effect of Total Quantity Control on Hospitalization Costs of Patients with Medical Insurance
Abstract:To compare and analyze the data before and after the total quantity control policy implementation in pilot hospitals, discuss the policy effects on the hospitalization costs of patients with medical insurance, put forward reasonable suggestion for the improvement of total quantity control policy for medical insurance. Methods:To collect the insured patient data before and after the implementation of the total quantity control policy in the pilot hospital, using SPSS software to do the rank test and the chi-square test, analyzing the changes in relevant indicators before and after implementation. Results: After the implementation of total quantity control policy, the volume, average length of stay and the percentage of the drug expenditure have been significantly changed, but cost per time did not change significantly in the pilot hospitals. Conclusion:It showed that the pilot hospital actively cooperated with the total quantity control policy adjustments, the effect has showed; however, it needs to focus on the adjustment of the hospital management, explore the payment method of pay by disease type, standardize medical service processes, control and supervision the health care indicators of total quantity control reasonably.
