Analyzing the Structures of Hospitalization Costs of Peasant Based on the Integration of Urban and Rural Areas
Abstract:Objective: To discuss hospital cost of farmer participating in different levels of medical institutions and different types of diseases, in order to provide a theoretical basis for improving the integration of urban and rural medical security system. Methods:Using SPSS15.0 statistics software to analyze average of hospital costs, length of stay, structure of hospital costs, types of diseases in the four levels of medical institutions in 2011, and then make appropriate statistical description. Results: ( 1) The average of medical costs is RMB 2 067, length of stay (10.0 days) are lower than the national health services survey data in 2008; (2) the proportion of medical costs in different medical institutions are larger than 30%; ( 3) the medical needs of rural patients are mostly focused on infectious diseases and chronic diseases. Conclusion: It is necessary to strengthen medical facilities, technologies and services for basic-level medical, and improve health education about chronic diseases for rural residents.
