Research on Medical Service Price Management and Medical Expenditure Control
Abstract： Objective:To analyze the conduction mechanism between price management of medical services and medical expenditure control. Methods: Based on the theory of asymmetric information, principal-agent, behavioral economics, and institutional economics, it constructs the personal income model of medical staffs to explain the root causes of the changes from the policies to the effects. Results:Short of human cost compensation and widely employed “Cross Subsidization” are the root causes pulling the medical expenditure increasing unreasonably. Conclusion: To improve the medical services of high level medical stuffs, the government should ask the medical institutions do as the following: (1) increase financial subsidies; (2) raise compound price difference; (3) improve the marketability to meet the reasonable need for technological compensation.
